New Delhi, August 19, 2026: The World Economic Forum has named agricultural technology company Cropin a Global Innovator, recognising its work in applying technology to agricultural challenges. Cropin had earlier been recognised by the Forum as a Technology Pioneer.

As part of the Global Innovators community, Cropin will engage with the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Nature and Climate and contribute to initiatives focused on climate resilience, sustainable food systems and the future of agriculture.

The recognition comes as agriculture faces increasing challenges from climate variability and concerns around food security. According to Cropin, the company has spent the past decade applying artificial intelligence to agricultural use cases across 103 countries, with its technology used to digitise more than 30 million acres of farmland and build intelligence across more than 1 billion acres.

"Climate change is among the most consequential forces of our time, and agriculture feels its effects first and hardest. The farming communities most exposed to climate shocks are often the least equipped to adapt. We believe AI can change that by giving them the ability to anticipate risk and respond before it becomes loss. Being named a Global Innovator gives us a platform to carry that belief into the global conversations shaping agriculture's climate-resilient future," said Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO, Cropin.

Through the Global Innovators community, Cropin is expected to bring its experience in agricultural technology to discussions and initiatives around climate resilience and sustainable food production. The company said its platforms have supported more than 7 million farmers, with a focus on using data and AI to improve the predictability and resilience of agricultural production.

The World Economic Forum’s Innovator Communities bring together startups and scale-ups working on technological and business-model innovation. Cropin’s participation will focus on applying technology-led approaches to challenges across food and agriculture.
