Mumbai, October 24, 2025: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., a leading name in home and energy solutions, has secured a major solar rooftop project worth ₹445 crore in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The project will cover over 40,000 households with 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems, marking the company’s largest-ever solar rooftop order and a key milestone in its renewable energy journey.
The 77 MW project, valued at ₹445 crore, comes just two months after Crompton entered the solar rooftop segment. This follows a ₹52 crore order earlier this month, underlining the company’s growing presence and execution capability in the solar space.
The solar rooftop market in India, valued between ₹20,000–25,000 crore, is witnessing over 20% annual growth driven by improved technology affordability, enhanced grid integration, and increased consumer awareness. Crompton’s entry aims to meet this demand through sustainable, efficient, and easy-to-maintain solar solutions.
Under the project, Crompton will oversee the end-to-end execution, supported by trained personnel and an extensive service network to ensure reliability and consistency across thousands of homes.
