New Delhi, June 10, 2025: Over 300 Convergint colleagues across India volunteered more than 1,800 hours as part of the company’s 24th annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day, contributing to safety and infrastructure improvements in underserved communities. This effort aligns with the company’s global initiative, where 7,488 employees from 37 countries participated, supporting over 174 community organizations and 35 schools.

In India, the focus was on the STEP (Secure, Train, Educate, Protect) Up for Schools initiative, which aims to enhance school safety through the installation of integrated security technologies and infrastructure upgrades.

Key projects included:

  • Captain Chandan Lal Special Middle School for the Blind, Gurugram: Installed video surveillance systems and supported painting and landscaping efforts.
  • PM SHRI School, Ulwe, Navi Mumbai: Upgraded surveillance systems, donated educational supplies, and installed a Wi-Fi router.
  • Government Higher Secondary School, Chennai: Installed and commissioned new video surveillance systems.

“The STEP Up for Schools initiative embodies our belief that every child deserves to learn in a safe and supportive environment,” said Bhashkarvikram Rajkhowa, General Manager, North India, Convergint Asia Pacific. “By partnering with schools through critical security upgrades and infrastructure support, we’re helping create inclusive spaces where students and educators can thrive.”

The global campaign received support from over 30 industry partners and $639,000 in donated goods and services. Convergint emphasized that these efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to social responsibility beyond a single day of service.

“We are proud that today, and for nearly a quarter of a century, our colleagues and industry partners come together in just a 24-hour span as a greater force of good to give back to our communities,” said Ann Fandozzi, CEO, Convergint. “Helping address unmet needs in the communities where Convergint colleagues and their families reside, including secure, safe educational environments to foster positive experiences for the next generation, is core to our values.”

Since the launch of its Social Responsibility Day in 2002, Convergint has completed over 100 STEP Up projects globally. In India alone, five projects have impacted up to 2,500 individuals across several states.
