Chevron ENGINE, IIT Madras Launch Energy Technology Incubation Programme
Bengaluru, October 01, 2026: Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) have launched the Chevron-IITM Energy Technology Incubation Program to support early-stage innovators, researchers and social entrepreneurs working on energy-related solutions.
The programme will focus on areas including energy technologies, infrastructure, carbon utilisation, circular economy and resource efficiency. Participants will receive pre-incubation support, technical mentorship, prototype funding and entrepreneurship guidance through IIT Madras’ research and incubation ecosystem.

Through this partnership with IIT Madras, we are extending that idea into India’s innovation ecosystem by supporting student teams, researchers and social entrepreneurs developing practical solutions for the energy sector.

Under the programme, Chevron ENGINE may contribute industry expertise, technical mentorship, employee volunteering and opportunities for innovators to engage with industry. IIT Madras will provide access to its research, innovation and incubation ecosystem to support the development, testing and scaling of energy technologies.
The partnership builds on Chevron’s ongoing engagement with IIT Madras and its stated focus on innovation, education and capacity building through community partnerships.
