New Delhi, August 31, 2026: Centric Software has expanded the sustainability, compliance and product governance capabilities of Centric PLM™, with the latest enhancements aimed at helping brands, retailers and manufacturers manage product data and respond to evolving environmental and regulatory requirements.
The updates focus on improving the way organisations capture, connect and manage information related to products, materials, suppliers and packaging across the product lifecycle. The company said the changes are intended to support greater transparency and more consistent compliance as regulatory requirements become more complex.
Among the regulations and initiatives shaping these requirements are Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), including forthcoming Digital Product Passports.
Centric Software said fragmented sustainability and compliance information can make it difficult for organisations to establish reliable product records and use data for decision-making. The expanded capabilities in Centric PLM are designed to embed sustainability, compliance and traceability into product and packaging development rather than treating individual regulatory requirements as separate processes.
Sustainability and Compliance Capabilities
The latest enhancements include Sustainability Profiles and automated composition roll-ups to support sustainability reporting, labelling and related information management.
The platform also includes Certificate Management, allowing organisations to centralise supplier certifications and track certificate expiry. Additional features provide recyclability and circularity information during product development, while supplier collaboration capabilities allow sustainability and compliance information to be collected and managed within the system.
“Sustainability is a journey and greater visibility into materials and product data enables us to turn our goals into action,” said Sandy Flint, Senior Materials Manager, STIO. “With Centric PLM, we can integrate these priorities into the way we develop products and track key information such as materials, environmental impact and compliance. Having that information in one place gives us the visibility to make more informed decisions throughout product development.”
Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, said, “Product transparency is reshaping how products are created and the brands that succeed will be those that make trusted product data the foundation for innovation, sustainability and compliance. Centric PLM delivers a connected foundation of trusted product data that enables better decisions, stronger collaboration and greater agility as regulatory and market expectations evolve.”
The company said the expanded capabilities are intended to help organisations maintain connected product information as sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements develop.
Centric Software is a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes and provides product lifecycle and related software solutions for sectors including fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics and personal care, and multi-category retail.
