Gurugram, August 27, 2025: CARS24, India’s leading autotech platform, has announced the onboarding of former BluSmart drivers as part of a structured initiative to create new career opportunities within the autotech sector. The move follows BluSmart’s closure earlier this year, which left thousands of professional drivers without jobs.
Through training and certification, dozens of former BluSmart drivers have been inducted into CARS24 as Car Inspectors. More than half of the newly hired inspectors come from BluSmart, bringing with them extensive on-road experience now being applied to vehicle evaluations for CARS24 customers.
Each Car Inspector undergoes a certification program designed by CARS24’s in-house experts. The training includes modules on customer interaction, use of AI-powered inspection tools, and exposure to the company’s proprietary vehicle assessment systems. The program equips inspectors to conduct over 140 checks, a standard set by CARS24 for its vehicle inspections.
“This is not just about creating jobs, but about creating dignity, growth and long-term stability,” said Gajendra Jangid, Co-Founder of CARS24. “The closure of BluSmart created uncertainty for many skilled professionals. We saw an opportunity to channel their experience into something bigger — building careers as certified Car Inspectors.”
The initiative represents a career upgrade for many of the former drivers. Instead of earning on a per-ride basis, they now have stable employment, growth prospects, and long-term career trajectories within the company. High-performing inspectors will also have opportunities to progress into roles in training, operations, or corporate functions under CARS24’s Mission Elevate program.
CARS24 said the initiative is aligned with its vision of “Better drives, better lives,” reflecting the company’s broader goal of investing in workforce development alongside its efforts to simplify car ownership for customers.
By converting driving experience into formal career pathways, CARS24 is building a model that can be scaled across India’s evolving mobility sector. The company plans to expand the initiative further to absorb talent not only from ex-drivers but also from other parts of the mobility industry seeking opportunities in autotech.
