New Delhi, December 05, 2025: Buddy4Study, a leading education funding platform in India, is set to surpass ₹900 crore in cumulative education funding in FY 2025–26, strengthening its position as one of the country’s largest enablers of financial aid for students. This year alone, the organisation will support more than 60,000 new student scholars, along with 30,000 existing scholars who continue to receive multi-year assistance. With this expansion, Buddy4Study’s total reach is projected to exceed two lakh unique scholars—up from 1.40 lakh previously.
The platform's projected growth represents a significant jump from FY 2024–25, when it facilitated ₹230 crore worth of scholarships for over 60,000 students. To date, Buddy4Study has enabled funding of more than ₹640 crore for 1.40 lakh scholars across 11,000 institutions.
“These numbers represent more than metrics—they represent dreams realised and futures transformed,” said Ashutosh Burnwal, Founder and CEO of Buddy4Study. “Reaching this milestone will reinforce our mission to ensure that no deserving student is left behind. Of the 1.40 lakh scholars we've felicitated… 57% are young women, over 20,000 come from orphaned or single-parent households, and nine out of ten are first-generation learners. This is the true measure of our impact.”
Expanding Funding Pathways
Buddy4Study’s ₹900 crore milestone reflects its multi-channel approach to financial support, including scholarships, education loans, government schemes and institutional aid. The organisation has worked with more than 200 partner companies since inception—including HDFC Bank, L’Oréal India, Colgate-Palmolive (India), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Kotak Education Foundation, Bharti Airtel Foundation and Infosys Foundation—and currently collaborates with over 80 active partners.
In addition to scholarships, the platform has facilitated over ₹2.90 crore in education loans through partnerships with banks such as Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and NBFCs including Kuhoo Finance. Through Buddy4Loan, the organisation is scaling loan accessibility with options up to ₹20 lakh.
Buddy4Study’s Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO) network—designed to provide campus-based access to verified funding opportunities—now includes 36 colleges and NGOs, with an ambition to expand to 1,000 SFAOs by March 2026. Partners include NIT Delhi, Lovely Professional University, IMT Ghaziabad and several University of Delhi colleges, as well as NGOs like Teach For India and Avanti Fellows.
Government collaborations have also strengthened the platform’s reach. Following the successful onboarding of 500 students under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment’s SEED scheme for NT/DNT/SNT communities, the programme is being scaled to 4,000 students this year.
Through its Kind Circle platform, Buddy4Study has mobilised ₹2.16 crore from individual donors to create scholarships, aiming for a ₹10 crore corpus by 2026.
Strengthening Holistic Development
Beyond financial aid, Buddy4Study continues expanding its mentorship and skill-development programmes. Its structured modules cover professional training, career development and essential soft skills. The newly launched Buddy4Vidya platform focuses on intellectual funding and professional grooming, while an active alumni network supports mentorship and community-driven growth.
“We're building more than a funding platform—we're creating a comprehensive support system that nurtures talent from financial assistance through professional development,” Burnwal added. “Our vision for 2030 is to empower 10 lakh students… ensuring that first-generation learners become tomorrow's mentors.”
