Mumbai, July 19, 2025: Bank of India, one of the country’s leading public sector banks, has launched a nationwide Mega Outreach Program to celebrate “Kisan Mah” throughout July and observe Kisan Diwas on July 19. The initiative marks the Bank’s Nationalisation Day and underscores its continued commitment to supporting Indian agriculture and the farming community.

The outreach campaign, held across key agricultural states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana, was inaugurated by Mr. Rajneesh Karnatak, Managing Director & CEO, in the presence of Executive Directors Shri P.R. Rajagopal, Shri Rajiv Mishra, and Shri Subrat Kumar, along with senior leadership including Chief General Managers and General Managers.

Running from July 19 to July 25, 2025, the campaign features farmer engagement sessions, disbursal of credit sanction letters, financial awareness drives, and promotion of various government-backed agricultural schemes. The initiative is designed to deepen the Bank’s relationship with the farming community, while also enhancing awareness of its range of agricultural banking services.

Special emphasis has been placed on key agricultural sectors through Kisan Credit Card (KCC) distribution, as well as support for self-help groups (SHGs), dairy, poultry, fisheries, and financing of agricultural equipment such as tractors. In addition, the Bank is facilitating credit for infrastructure projects like cold storage units, warehouses, and agro-processing units including rice and pulse mills.

As part of the initiative, Bank of India is also hosting digital banking seminars, financial literacy camps, and Agri clinics. These events are designed to provide farmers with a better understanding of financial tools and access to schemes under the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission and other rural development programs.

Through this multi-faceted campaign, Bank of India aims to reinforce its role in promoting rural prosperity, fostering sustainable agriculture, and providing financial empowerment to farming communities across India. The Bank reiterated its long-term commitment to the agriculture sector and to the socio-economic upliftment of rural India.
