New Delhi, November 05, 2025: AIESEC in Delhi IIT successfully hosted Balkalakaar 2025, its annual flagship social impact event dedicated to nurturing creativity and self-expression among underprivileged children. The event brought together over 900 young participants from various NGOs across Delhi for a day of art, imagination, and inspiration.
At the heart of Balkalakaar 2025 was an art competition that offered children a platform to express their dreams and emotions through color and creativity. The competition was judged by an esteemed panel including Sahib Sabpra, Founder of TutCart; Gauri Agrawal, representing UN Women; and senior art educators from Mount Abu Public School. The judges commended the participants for their originality and emotional depth, emphasizing how art serves as a “universal language of hope and self-expression.”
To make the day even more engaging, studio partner Lagoom presented a Nukkad Natak (street play) that captured the attention of both children and volunteers. The performance, filled with humor and warmth, highlighted themes of empathy, togetherness, and empowerment, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The event’s success was supported by several partners, including Kabaddi Champions League, UNIBIC, Tapas Foundation, and the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) as advisory partners, and Simplify Money as the event partner. A special acknowledgment was extended to the Rotary Club of Delhi West Metro, whose support helped provide scholarships to the winners of the art competition, ensuring their educational and creative journeys continue beyond the event.
Behind the seamless execution of Balkalakaar 2025 was a dedicated team led by Rudraksh Raj, Head of Business Development at AIESEC in Delhi IIT, along with managers Ujjwal Rohilla and Dhriti Gupta, supported by more than 200 volunteers.
“Balkalakaar is not just about art, it’s about giving children the chance to dream freely, to express without fear, and to be seen for who they are. Each painting tells a story of hope, and that’s what makes this initiative so special.”
As the event concluded, Balkalakaar 2025 stood as a testament to AIESEC in Delhi IIT’s mission of empowering young minds, inspiring communities, and fostering creative expression. The event reaffirmed the organization’s belief that nurturing imagination can open pathways to opportunity and build a brighter, more inclusive future.
