Arvind Mafatlal Group Launches Indivar Foundation Focused on Girl Child Development

Mumbai, March 25, 2026: The Arvind Mafatlal Group has announced the launch of Indivar Foundation, a not-for-profit initiative aimed at strengthening its long-standing community engagement with a focused approach towards empowering the girl child and underserved communities.

The foundation builds on the Group’s legacy of over six decades of social impact across healthcare, education, and livelihoods. Historically, the Group has collaborated with grassroots organisations such as Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, BAIF Development Research Foundation, N. M. Sadguru Water and Development Foundation, and Shri Chaitanya Health and Care Trust, contributing to healthcare access for over 20 million individuals, education support for more than 1 million children and youth, and livelihood initiatives impacting over 3 million rural households.

Indivar Foundation seeks to bring greater structure and focus to these efforts, with programmes centred on education, health and nutrition, and community empowerment. A key emphasis will be placed on addressing gaps in access and opportunities for girls, with a community-led and scalable approach.

The foundation has already initiated its on-ground work through Project Tarang in Khojbal, Gujarat. The programme aims to strengthen school ecosystems, improve learning outcomes, enhance healthcare access, and create supportive environments for adolescent girls.

Pankhuri Mafatlal, Director, Indivar Foundation, said, “Indivar Foundation is rooted in the belief that when a girl is given the opportunity to learn and grow, the impact extends far beyond her shaping her confidence, choices, and future. As a mother, this is something I relate to closely, and it has shaped how I view the kind of support every girl deserves one that allows her to learn, build confidence, and move forward with dignity. Through Indivar, we are working closely with communities to understand the barriers girls face and build thoughtful, sustained programmes that expand access to education, health, and opportunity in a way that creates long-term impact.”

Priyavrata Mafatlal, Director, Indivar Foundation and Vice Chairman, Arvind Mafatlal Group, added, “Across the communities we have engaged with, one reality stands out potential is not the constraint, access is and the girl child is often most affected by this gap. This insight is shaped by a legacy where community engagement has always been integral to how we operate, with the belief that progress must extend beyond business.

We have seen that the right support at the right time can change outcomes not just for individuals, but for families and communities. Indivar Foundation brings greater focus and continuity to this effort, with the aim of expanding access to education, healthcare, and opportunity for girls, creating impact that extends well beyond what is immediately visible. Indivar Foundation will expand its work across Maharashtra and Gujarat, with a long-term vision of building sustainable, community-led models that can be scaled across regions.”

The foundation plans to expand its initiatives across Maharashtra and Gujarat, with a long-term goal of developing scalable models for community-led development.
