Kolhapur, Maharashtra, October 17, 2023: AquaKraft recently introduced SWACHH-INN, a combination of a Water ATM, hand wash, and pantry at Mahalaxmi Temple in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The initiative, sponsored by RBL Bank as part of their CSR Initiatives, aims to provide affordable and healthy water and food to the public.
SWACHH INN will be managed by Women Self Help Groups under the UMED program of the National Rural Livelihood Mission, focusing on vending clean drinking water, tea, coffee, and food cooked at the pantry. The initiative was launched by Shri Hasan Mushrif – Minister for Medical Education, Government of Maharashtra & Guardian Minister Kolhapur District, in the presence of government dignitaries.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Maharaj, descendant of Shivaji Maharaj, appreciated the initiative during the event and urged the expansion of such initiatives across Maharashtra, especially in significant tourist sites like the Raigad Fort. Over 300 devotees and pilgrims availed themselves of clean drinking water from SWACHH INN, endorsing the initiative's significance.
Sachieen Maney, Director Operations at AquaKraft, expressed the company's commitment to creating innovative, environmentally friendly water filtration models. He added, "Our objective is to develop and implement operator friendly units for easy operations and management leading to sustainability.
