Mumbai, August 04, 2026: Ambuja Foundation has partnered with Venktesh Investment and Trading Company (B2V Ventures) to launch a new skill training centre in Porbandar, Gujarat, with the aim of equipping young people with industry-relevant skills and improving their employability.
The newly inaugurated BL Taparia Kaushalya Vardhan Academy is expected to train 1,100 youth over the next three years. The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Pujya Bhaishree Rameshbhai Ojha, members of the Taparia family, representatives from Supreme Industries and officials from Ambuja Foundation.
The academy will offer three-month training programmes in Customer Care, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner (RAC) Assembly, and Accounts Executive, along with a six-month course for General Duty Assistant. To improve accessibility, the programmes will be conducted in two shifts.
In addition to technical training, participants will receive career counselling, on-the-job training, soft skills development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship awareness, workplace etiquette and interview preparation. Eligible candidates will also receive placement support and one year of post-training mentoring.
Speaking about the initiative, Chandrakant Kumbhani, CEO, Ambuja Foundation, said, “As industries evolve, the demand for a skilled and job-ready workforce deepens. As Ambuja Foundation is committed to youth empowerment, we always support young people in uplifting their socio-economic standard by equipping them with industry relevant skills. By partnering with Venktesh Investment and Trading Company, we launched this training centre to bridge the skill gap among the youth and support them to get better work opportunities in the region.”
According to the organisations, Venktesh Investment and Trading Company aims to empower youth from reserved and underserved communities through quality mentorship, while Ambuja Foundation will serve as the implementation partner. With more than two decades of experience in skill development, Ambuja Foundation currently operates 55 skill training centres across 13 states, including seven centres in Gujarat.
The collaboration seeks to strengthen local employability by aligning skill development with industry requirements and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural youth.
