New Delhi, July 2, 2025: Ambuja Cements, a part of the Adani Portfolio, has supported a community-led net fencing initiative in Pazina village near Darlaghat, Himachal Pradesh, to strengthen rural agricultural resilience. The initiative, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, has empowered over 50 farmers to adopt net fencing to protect their crops from wild animal damage.

With support from Ambuja Cements, local agriculture volunteer Meena mobilized farmers across Upper Pazina, Lower Pazina, and Neori villages to embrace sustainable and diversified farming practices. The introduction of net fencing in FY 2024–25 has helped reduce crop loss, improve yields, and generated ₹23,000 in business for the local Farmer Producer Organization (FPO).

The initiative has not only led to improved farm productivity but has also strengthened the operations of the local FPO and promoted a collective farming mindset within the community.

Ambuja Cements’ CSR approach emphasizes grassroots leadership and community-driven agricultural transformation. By enabling access to tools, technical knowledge, and peer platforms, the company is contributing to rural self-reliance and long-term prosperity in Himachal Pradesh.

This initiative is part of Ambuja Cements’ broader commitment to inclusive rural development through sustainable, locally-driven solutions.
