New Delhi, 01 September 2025: Ambuja Cements, the cement and building materials company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, is encouraging young people in rural Bathinda to take an active role in community development. As part of its CSR initiatives, the company is supporting the formation of youth clubs in villages like Sivan and Burj Mehma, which are evolving into hubs of local leadership.
Originally formed during local panchayat elections, the youth clubs have grown into platforms that now lead village clean-up drives, health awareness campaigns, sports tournaments and other social initiatives. With training and infrastructure support from Ambuja Cements, the clubs have expanded in participation and purpose.
In Burj Mehma, the model has inspired neighbouring villages to create their own clubs, while in Sivan, previously disconnected youth have come together to work toward common goals. The company has also installed open gyms in the villages, creating dedicated spaces for fitness, interaction and continued engagement. These facilities have provided young people with opportunities to gather, organise and contribute meaningfully to village life.
By building safe and structured environments for youth, Ambuja Cements is helping shape a new generation of rural leaders. The initiative reflects the company’s belief that empowering young people with purpose, support and ownership can transform communities from within.
