New Delhi, June 25, 2026: Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Portfolio, has established over 1,150 Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across 102 villages in Gir Somnath, Gujarat, bringing 12,500 women into a structured financial and entrepreneurship support network under its CSR programme.

The initiative has provided participants with financial literacy training and entrepreneurial support, enabling them to collectively build a corpus of ₹4.96 crore. Women involved have been guided toward developing sustainable income sources through skill-building and access to small business opportunities.

A key outcome of the programme is the establishment of the Sorath Mahila Vikas Sahkari Mandali, a women's cooperative that facilitates access to essential services including healthcare, ration shops, and pension schemes. The cooperative also provides leadership training and support for managing small businesses.
