Bengaluru, 20 August 2025: AiR Humanitarian Homes, in partnership with the Rotary Club Bangalore, has enabled six residents of its shelters in Bengaluru to receive custom-fitted prosthetic limbs. The initiative reflects the organization’s mission to promote dignity and independence for people in need.

Founded by Spiritual Mentor, Happiness Ambassador, Author and Philanthropist AiR – Atman in Ravi, the homes have provided food, shelter, medical care, and emotional support to over 600 people daily since 1998. With facilities in Bannerghatta and Chikkagubbi Village, Bengaluru, the homes welcome individuals of all ages, genders, castes, and religions, and are blessed by Nobel Peace Laureate the Dalai Lama.

“This initiative is more than just providing physical mobility; it’s about restoring hope and self-respect,” said AiR – Atman in Ravi. “Our residents are not just beneficiaries; they are family. By helping these residents regain their ability to walk, we facilitate change in their emotional state. This journey empowers them to embrace life with purpose and dignity and participate more fully in their daily activities and community life. And through them, we serve God. Service to humanity is an expression of love and devotion to God. It is a prayer.”

AiR Humanitarian Homes has impacted over 50,000 lives in the past two decades through medical care, surgeries, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and emotional support. Services include medical camps, on-site nurses, visiting specialists, counselling, physiotherapy, and recreational activities, all aimed at holistic healing.

The organization stressed that the artificial limb initiative reflects its commitment to treating every individual with respect and reverence. “This mission of service is not simply charity – it is worship,” AiR added. “When we uplift another life, it is a sacred offering to God, the Supreme Immortal Power that lives in all of us.”

In addition to this effort, AiR Humanitarian Homes recently launched the “God Is There” mobile outreach service to extend care to vulnerable populations in Bengaluru. Looking ahead, the organization plans to expand into a 1,000-bed facility to reach more people in need.
