Adani Energy Solutions Tops Global Utilities in S&P ESG Score

Ahmedabad, September 1, 2026: Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has reported an ESG Score of 90 out of 100 from S&P Global, placing it at the top of the global Utilities sector following the completion of S&P Global’s latest Media and Stakeholder Analysis (MSA) review.

According to the company, the review corrected a governance-related assessment that had previously affected its score. AESL’s ESG Score subsequently increased from 81 to 90, while its disclosure-based Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score rose by 17 points year-on-year to 90. The reported industry average for the Utilities sector is 41.

AESL recorded scores of 93 in Environmental, 89 in Social, and 84 in Governance & Economic. The company said its assessment was supported by performance in areas including Product Stewardship, Climate Strategy and Human Capital Management.

The latest assessment places AESL ahead of the Utilities sector average across all three reported ESG dimensions, reflecting the company’s stated focus on environmental performance, social outcomes, governance and sustainability-related disclosures.
