Uttar Pradesh, 28 July 2025: In a notable example of rural empowerment through corporate-led skilling, the Adani Foundation at ACC Tikaria has helped transform the life of Malti Devi, a young woman from Kalwa village in Amethi district. Through the Adani Skill Development Centre (ASDC), she completed a course in Domestic Data Entry Operation and has now secured a job as a Data Analyst at Indivillage Tech Solution in Varanasi.
ACC, a key cement and building material company under the Adani portfolio, has been running employment-linked skill training programs at its ASDC centre in Tikaria, with a special focus on supporting women from underserved communities. The initiative aims to provide digital literacy and practical skills that enable sustainable livelihoods and long-term socio-economic upliftment.
Malti, who assumed financial responsibility for her family following the death of her father, enrolled in the data entry course and received hands-on training and mentorship through the programme. Her initial salary of ₹11,800 has since risen to ₹18,000 per month due to her performance, allowing her to not only support her family but also fund her younger sister’s education.
Her journey has made her a symbol of resilience and progress within her community. ACC’s support has enabled her to move from economic vulnerability to financial independence—demonstrating the broader impact of focused CSR-driven skilling initiatives.
The Adani Foundation and ACC continue to invest in such initiatives that empower individuals and foster community development through education and employment.
