Bengaluru, June 15, 2026: Aahwahan Foundation organised a Welfare Kit Distribution Initiative in Bengaluru to support the city’s traffic police personnel, who manage road safety and traffic movement under challenging weather and environmental conditions.

The drive aimed to recognise the dedication of these frontline officers, who spend long hours at busy intersections, frequently exposed to intense heat, rain, dust, and pollution.

As part of the programme, personnel received welfare kits packed with essential safety and protective gear. These included helmets, raincoats, rain-protective jackets, reflective safety vests, sunglasses, masks, hand gloves, umbrellas, and water bottles. By providing these items, the foundation seeks to safeguard the health and well-being of officers managing the city’s bustling roads.

According to the Foundation, this programme aligns with its broader mission to implement community welfare and public safety projects in partnership with corporate social responsibility (CSR) stakeholders and local organisations.

The event highlighted the critical role traffic police play in ensuring smooth mobility and public safety in Bengaluru, a city known for its heavy daily traffic. Officers who received the kits expressed their appreciation, noting that such gestures bring much-needed acknowledgement to the daily challenges they face on duty.

Ultimately, the programme aimed to draw attention to the importance of supporting frontline public service workers whose efforts often go unnoticed despite being vital to maintaining urban mobility. Through this drive, Aahwahan Foundation reinforces the need for stronger welfare support for traffic personnel while continuing its nationwide community development and social welfare initiatives.
