Zeta Opens Hyderabad Skilling Centre for Underprivileged Youth

Hyderabad, October 12, 2026: Banking technology company Zeta has inaugurated a skilling centre in Hyderabad to help underprivileged youth prepare for employment and entrepreneurship. The initiative is funded by Zeta under its CSR programme, Zeta CARES, and implemented in partnership with Head Held High Foundation, a non-profit working to improve livelihood opportunities for marginalised youth.

The programme combines literacy, communication, digital and workplace skills to help participants build the capabilities needed to enter the workforce or pursue entrepreneurship. Zeta is funding training delivery across three centres in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, including curriculum development, centre set-up and trainer fees.

Each centre will conduct a three-month training programme for two batches of 60 participants. Training has begun at the Hyderabad centre, which was formally inaugurated on October 10. Operations at the Bengaluru and Mumbai centres have also commenced, with their formal inaugurations planned for the coming months.

The initiative is part of the Employability pillar of Zeta CARES, which focuses on four areas: Education, Employability, Entrepreneurship and Ecology.

The programme is being delivered through Head Held High Foundation’s ‘Make India Capable’ initiative, which focuses on skill development and livelihoods for underprivileged rural youth. Participants will receive training in spoken English, communication and confidence building, along with digital skills for everyday and workplace use. The curriculum also covers professional conduct, teamwork and workplace readiness.

The initiative comes amid continuing concerns about the gap between candidates’ skills and employer requirements. According to the India Skills Report 2026, cited in the announcement, overall employability stands at 56.35%.

“India has no shortage of young people with ambition. What many of them lack is an opportunity to develop skills that help them secure employment and build a livelihood. Through Zeta CARES, we are supporting practical training that builds both the technical and soft skills young people need to start a career or a business. Our partnership with Head Held High Foundation brings this opportunity to young people across three cities.” Sivaram Kowta, President, Zeta India.

“Skilling should expand the choices available to a young person, irrespective of their background. With Zeta’s support, we are helping young people build the skills and confidence to enter the workforce, pursue entrepreneurship and shape their own livelihoods.” Pankaj Singh Thakur, CEO, Head Held High Foundation.

The new centres build on Zeta’s existing digital learning initiatives. Through Project Shiksha, the company has established two computer labs in government schools in Bengaluru over the past two years. Together, the labs have provided more than 600 students with access to digital learning tools, structured computer education, coding and STEM exposure.

With the skilling centres, Zeta is extending its CSR efforts from school-level digital learning to employment preparation for young adults.
