Gurugram, October 30, 2025: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, announced the winners of the fourth edition of its national education initiative, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025, which encourages youth to create technology-driven solutions for community challenges.
The top four winning teams: Percevia (Bengaluru), NextPlay.AI (Aurangabad), Paraspeak (Gurugram), and Prithvi Rakshak (Palamu) — received a grant of ₹1 crore for incubation support at IIT Delhi’s FITT Labs to develop their prototypes into scalable innovations.
The winners were selected from thousands of participants across India after a six-month journey that included mentorship, prototype development, and national bootcamps. The top 20 teams were also awarded ₹1 lakh each and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphones for their creativity and innovation.
The programme also announced multi-year partnerships with Startup India (DPIIT), MeitY Startup Hub, and Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog) to expand youth innovation opportunities across the country.
“This year, we witnessed extraordinary ideas emerging from small towns and rural communities — reaffirming that talent knows no boundaries. Our vision is to keep using technology for good — mentoring, resourcing, and empowering these young innovators to build a more inclusive and future-ready India in line with the government’s initiatives such as Digital India and Startup India,” said Mr. JB Park, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia.
The winning innovations reflected diverse approaches to social impact — from AI-powered accessibility to sustainability and inclusion:
- Percevia (Bengaluru): Wearable glasses that use AI to assist the visually impaired by providing real-time spatial awareness through sound and vibration feedback.
- NextPlay.AI (Aurangabad): An AI-driven sports platform with a virtual coach and referee, enabling inclusive and accessible gameplay.
- Paraspeak (Gurugram): A speech enhancement device that converts slurred speech into clear communication for people with dysarthria.
- Prithvi Rakshak (Palamu): A gamified mobile app that encourages tree adoption, recycling, and eco-friendly actions to promote sustainability.
Prof. Ajay K. Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, commended the initiative, stating, “This generation of young innovators is exactly what India needs. They are capable of designing with purpose, not just imitating what is being done globally. When ideas emerge from the ground up, rooted in local challenges, they have the power to transform our trajectory as a product nation.”
The Solve for Tomorrow 2025 jury included leaders from Samsung, academia, and government, such as Mr. Mohan Rao Goli (MD, SRI-B), Mr. Pankaj Mishra (CTO, SRI-D), Mr. Yuran Kim (MD, SDD), Dr. P.S. Madanagopal (CEO, MeitY Startup Hub), Dr. Rakesh Kaur (Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, Govt. of India), and Himanshu Joshi (Director, Atal Innovation Mission), among others.
Through its long-term partnerships and continued investment in youth innovation, Samsung aims to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem by nurturing future-ready entrepreneurs who can drive social and economic transformation.
