New Delhi, November 11, 2025: Vedanta Limited (NSE: VEDL), India’s leading natural resources and technology conglomerate, announced that it has empowered more than 12 lakh children and youth through education and skill-building initiatives in FY25, reaffirming its purpose of “Transforming Communities, Transforming India.”

Focusing on rural and tribal regions, where many children are first-generation learners, Vedanta’s education interventions span early childhood education, remedial support, digital learning, and career readiness, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2030 and UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on quality education.

At the core of Vedanta’s education mission are 9,800 Nand Ghars across 16 states, providing over 3.2 lakh children with access to digital early learning, nutrition, and healthcare. The company has also implemented STEM and AI-based digital literacy programmes in government schools across Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand, reaching thousands of students through innovation hubs and digital tools such as AR/VR.

In Odisha, the Gyanjyoti Programme has helped reduce dropout rates among tribal students through digital projectors and community-led facilitation. Similarly, Project Vidya in Jharsuguda has improved learning outcomes for 14,000 children through infrastructure and teacher training support.

“With Vedanta’s support in providing additional teachers, our students are finally getting the individual attention they deserve. Attendance has improved, and dropout rates have gone down. The change is visible in their confidence, learning, and overall growth,” said Anjali Sa, Additional Teacher, Government Upper Primary School, Mundherkhet Village, Odisha.

Vedanta’s Jeevan Tarang initiative has enabled over 2,600 children with disabilities to pursue education and livelihoods through customized learning pathways. Additionally, the Utkarsh Scholarships and Gyanshree Awards celebrate academic excellence and bridge the digital divide among first-generation learners.

Extending its impact from classroom to career, Vedanta’s Vedanta Foundation Colleges and Schools provide affordable, high-quality education to underserved students. Through Vedanta Shiksha and 50+ vocational training centres, the company has facilitated over 20,000 job placements, equipping youth with industry-relevant skills.

“Vedanta’s education initiative changed my life. Coming from a small government school, I never imagined I’d one day be a gold medalist and start my career here. The support I received gave me the right guidance, structure, and confidence to aim higher and achieve more,” said Rohit Maheshwari, Gold Medalist, MBM University & Vedanta Employee.

Looking ahead, Vedanta is developing the Vedanta University, envisioned as a world-class education city featuring a multidisciplinary university, research and innovation hubs, a medical school, and a state-of-the-art sports complex.

Through these initiatives, Vedanta continues to strengthen India’s human capital by combining access, digital empowerment, and skill development to ensure every learner has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
