Tata Power Champions Autism Awareness Month With Inclusive Initiatives And Support Programs

csr

New Delhi, Apr 8, 2025: Tata Power commemorated Autism Awareness Day on April 2 by illuminating its Mahalaxmi office in blue — the colour symbolising solidarity with individuals with autism — reaffirming its dedication to neurodiversity and inclusion. Strengthening this commitment, the company launched Pay Autention – An Autism Support Network in 2021 under the leadership of Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, bringing autism support resources under one umbrella.

Furthering this vision, Tata Power signed an MoU with NIEPID and partnered with Tata Elxsi to develop the E-Sanidhya Portal, launched on 4 December 2024 under the aegis of MSJE, providing remote screening, consultations, and caregiver support for neurodiverse communities across India. The platform has already onboarded over 8,000 users and screened over 2,000 individuals, improving access to early intervention and specialised care.

At Purple Fest 2025, held at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Tata Power took another significant step by announcing the co-creation of a phygital course on Dance and Movement Yog Therapy. The illumination of the office serves as a symbolic gesture, marking the start of a month-long series of initiatives, including Dance and Movement Therapy workshops, awareness sessions, speed mentoring programmes, and engaging campaigns across social media and internal communication channels — fostering awareness, inclusion, and a culture of volunteering.
