Pune, 29 July 2025: Routematic, a leading AI-powered corporate mobility platform, has launched Pune’s first fully diesel- and petrol-free transport fleet in collaboration with Infosys. The initiative includes four- and six-seater vehicles that run entirely on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), setting a new sustainability benchmark for enterprise mobility in the city.
This move positions Routematic as the only corporate transport provider in Pune to operate without using any diesel or petrol. The initiative addresses the pressing issues of urban congestion and vehicular emissions, aligning with India’s long-term climate goals.
“We’re proud to lead from the front and set a new benchmark for green mobility in Pune. Becoming the first service provider in the city to enable 100% diesel and petrol-free operations is a testament to our commitment to lead the corporate transport sector towards a more sustainable future,” said Sriram Kannan, Founder & CEO, Routematic.
The company’s shift to cleaner fuels comes in the wake of rising concerns about air pollution and traffic in Indian cities. According to the World Air Quality Report 2024 by IQAir, 13 of the world’s 20 most polluted cities are in India, while Pune was listed among the top five most congested cities globally by the TomTom Traffic Index 2024.
Routematic’s shared mobility model not only reduces carbon emissions but also aims to improve commute efficiency for thousands of corporate employees. The transition aligns with India’s 2070 net-zero goals and showcases how technology-driven transport can support sustainable business operations at scale.
Founded in 2013, Routematic currently serves over 350,000 employees across 300+ enterprises in 23 Indian cities. With $40 million in funding raised in May 2025, the company plans to expand to 10,000 vehicles by March 2026 and electrify 30% of its fleet within two years. Its services include corporate mobility technology, transport-as-a-service, and 24/7 operations command centers to ensure seamless EV integration and safety oversight.
The company has previously received accolades such as the NASSCOM award for Most Innovative Product and runner-up position at Asia’s Largest Mobility Startup Challenge by VIA ID in Singapore.
The collaboration with Infosys marks a significant milestone in the transition to sustainable transport and strengthens Routematic’s position as a key player in India’s green mobility landscape.
