Tiruchirappalli, February 05, 2026: Pragyan, the annual international techno-managerial festival of National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, will host its 22nd edition from February 20 to 23, 2026, with ‘Anachronia’ announced as the central theme.

ISO 9001 and ISO 20121 certified, Pragyan is a student-led platform that brings together technology, management, innovation, and social engagement. Over the years, the festival has evolved into a space that encourages experiential learning, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students from across the country.

A key highlight of Pragyan 2026 will be OpenHouse, a two-day exhibition showcasing student projects from academic departments and technical clubs at NIT Trichy. The exhibition enables students to present applied solutions and prototypes addressing real-world challenges, while fostering interaction with peers, faculty members, and industry stakeholders.

The festival will also feature Ingenium, a national-level technical competition, and Sangam, NIT Trichy’s flagship hardware hackathon, both designed to promote hands-on innovation and practical engineering skills. Technical and managerial events will be organised across multiple clusters, covering domains such as coding, robotics, hardware systems, and management.

Industry-linked workshops and expert-led sessions will form part of the programme, offering participants exposure to emerging technologies and applications. Pragyan will also host Crossfire, its debate platform, bringing together speakers and moderators to discuss contemporary social, economic, and policy-linked themes.

Extending its engagement beyond the campus, Pragyan continues its focus on social outreach through initiatives such as Techids, which introduces school students to foundational technical concepts through interactive sessions conducted by NIT Trichy student clubs.

Through a combination of technical competitions, exhibitions, debates, and outreach programmes, Pragyan 2026 is positioned as a student-driven initiative that strengthens innovation capacity, leadership skills, and responsible engagement among India’s youth.
