Maharashtra, April 27, 2026: Mahadhan Agritech Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers And Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL), has launched the “Mahadhan Livestock Development Project” in Ashti taluka of Beed district, aimed at strengthening rural livelihoods through livestock-based interventions.

The initiative, implemented in partnership with BAIF Livelihoods and Development Institute, focuses on improving farmers’ income by enhancing livestock productivity and sustainability. The project has been conceptualised under the guidance of Mr. S.C. Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director, DFPCL, and Mrs. Parul Mehta, Managing Trustee, Ishanya Foundation.

As part of the programme, the company plans to establish 10 Livestock Development Centres across the region. In the first phase, centres have been inaugurated in Pimpalgaon Dani, Dongargaon, and Harinarayan Ashta, with additional centres to be rolled out in a phased manner.

The project includes a range of interventions such as artificial insemination services, fodder cultivation, vaccination support, and capacity-building programmes for livestock farmers. These efforts are expected to improve animal health, increase productivity, and support long-term sustainability for farming communities in the drought-prone Marathwada region.

The inauguration was attended by representatives from Ishanya Foundation, BAIF, and local stakeholders, including village leaders and community members, reflecting collaborative engagement at the grassroots level.

Mr. Naresh Pinisetti, President – Corporate Governance, DFPCL, said, “This initiative reflects Mahadhan’s commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods through sustainable and scalable interventions. By focusing on livestock development, it aims to create long-term value for farmers and contribute meaningfully to the agricultural ecosystem in the region.”

The project is expected to improve access to veterinary services, knowledge, and resources for livestock farmers, helping them diversify income sources and build resilience against agricultural uncertainties.

Mahadhan Agritech Limited continues to focus on farmer-centric solutions, offering crop nutrition products and advisory services while expanding its role in sustainable agriculture and rural development.
