Mumbai, March 10, 2023: Leading real estate developer Lodha has partnered with Ashoka University to launch the “Lodha Genius Programme” to support meritorious students with academic, financial and mental health assistance from the ninth grade onwards.
The first of its kind programme will provide customized long-term support to exceptional students with an aim to build the next generation of leaders.
The Chair of the Ashoka Science Advisory Council will mentor the entire programme.
The programme entails on-campus seminars and projects, along with continued off-campus mentoring. According to the officials, in its first year, the focus will be on Mathematics and the Natural Sciences. This would include students being trained by world-renowned mathematicians and scientists from prominent institutions in India and abroad.
Students from standards 9th to 12th can apply for the programme online (www.lodhageniusprogram.com) up till April 05, 2023. The applicants would be shortlisted on the basis of their academic records and an online aptitude test. Selected students will then participate in a fully funded on-campus training which would be conducted at Ashoka University, Delhi NCR from May 18th to June 17th, 2023. The exposure will help them become self-directed learners, develop their socio-emotional skills and inculcate a spirit of contributing to the society. Further, distinguished students of the programme will get opportunities to attend science fairs, work in research labs and access resources at the best universities in India and abroad.
