Gurugram, November 28, 2025: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited, has announced 50 grantees under the fifth edition of its ‘Art for Hope’ programme, aimed at supporting artists driving social change through creative expression. A total grant corpus of ₹60 lakh has been allocated to 40 individual artists (₹1 lakh each) and 10 institutions (₹2 lakh each).

This year, the programme received applications from 30 regions across India, with final selections representing 22 states and union territories. The cohort includes practitioners across visual arts, digital media, performing arts, crafts, folk traditions and interdisciplinary forms, with a strong focus on community engagement, underrepresented voices and grassroots collectives.

Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social, HMIL, said, “Through Art for hope - Season 5, Hyundai Motor India Foundation reaffirms its commitment to empowering artists whose work sparks dialogue, inclusion and social awareness. This edition celebrates India’s diverse creative spectrum - rural collectives, tribal storytellers, urban innovators and digital creators. By supporting top 50 projects, HMIF nurtures voices that preserve heritage, illuminate untold narratives and inspire transformative change. The initiative stands as a platform where creativity meets purpose, and art becomes a conduit for empathy, equity and progress.”

The grantees were selected through a detailed assessment by a five-member jury including Padma Bhushan awardee and Hindustani classical vocalist Pandit Sajan Mishra, experiential designer Aaquib Wani, content creator Garima Avtar, senior journalist Nikhil Chawla and Aditya Arya, Founding Trustee & Director of Museo Camera. Proposals were evaluated on artistic merit, originality, innovation and social impact.

Along with financial support, grantees will receive mentorship, upskilling workshops, and opportunities for regional showcases. The programme will culminate in a public showcase in February 2026 in New Delhi, highlighting works that blend creativity with social impact.

The list of the 50 individual and institutional grantees spans multiple states, including West Bengal, Telangana, Haryana, Assam, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and others, reflecting the programme’s wide regional reach.
