New Delhi, Mar 11, 2025: In a significant step toward empowering women in finance and accounting, FinTram Global LLP has announced scholarships worth INR 1.5 crore for 150 women aspirants under ‘FinTram Cares’ initiative.

Unveiled on International Women’s Day, the initiative aims to empower women with ease of access to globally recognized professional qualifications, including US CPA, ACCA, US CMA, EA, CFP® & IFRS to enhance their employability in the global job market. The last date to apply is March 31, 2025.

The scholarship program is open to women who are graduates or pursuing a graduate/ postgraduate degree in India, have a minimum 60% or more in Class 12th and/or 1st Division in Graduation, and have cleared the FinTram National Scholarship Test in top percentile, which is scheduled on April 5, 2025, to be conducted virtually.

As India continues its rapid integration into global finance and accounting services, the demand for internationally certified professionals is at an all-time high. Reports suggest that the Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India, which currently employ over 1.6 million professionals, will expand to over 2 million by 2030, with finance and accounting being a key domain. Despite this growing demand, women’s participation in India’s workforce remains at just 37%, indicating the need for targeted efforts to bridge the gender gap in financial education and employment.

Speaking on the announcement, Pankaj Dhingra, Managing Partner, FinTram Global LLP, said, “Financial education is a game changer, not just for individual growth but for economic empowerment. By offering scholarships worth INR 1.5 crore, we aim to support 150 talented women in accessing global finance and accounting qualifications, making them job-ready for high-growth opportunities in India and beyond. Our FinTram Cares initiatives are committed to fostering inclusivity and equipping women with the skills required to excel in the evolving financial landscape.”

Professor Dr Anuja Pandey, All India Management Association, said, the initiative of providing INR 1.5 crore scholarships for female aspirants pursuing global certifications in finance is indeed commendable. It not only empowers meritorious women to access world-class education but also opens doors to opportunities with top financial companies globally. Such programs will play a crucial role in bridging gender gaps in the finance sector and fostering a more inclusive workforce.

Swati Dhingra, Co-Founder, FinTram Global LLP, added, "Women today are breaking barriers and excelling in every field, yet financial education remains a crucial pillar of true independence. Inspired by the Indian Government's Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative, we at FinTram Global LLP are committed to carrying this legacy forward with Beti Padhao, Beti Badhao. Through this scholarship, we aim to equip women with the financial knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the global financial landscape. This is not just an opportunity; it’s a step toward creating a more inclusive and financially empowered future."

The scholarships will cover tuition support, exam preparation resources, and mentorship to ensure beneficiaries receive comprehensive training and guidance. Candidates will be selected based on Merit & Eligibility, reinforcing FinTram Global’s vision of democratizing access to high-quality financial education.

With India positioning itself as a global talent hub for finance and accounting, this initiative aligns with the broader vision of skilling the workforce and increasing female representation in the financial sector. Industry reports indicate that upskilling programs tailored for women can increase their workforce participation by up to 25%, thereby driving economic growth and social progress.
