Haryana, August 04, 2026: DS Group has organised a three-day Science Teacher Training Programme in Karnal, Haryana, as part of its efforts to strengthen the quality of education in rural communities. Conducted from July 29 to 31, 2026, the programme was organised in partnership with Eklavya Foundation and the Education Department, Karnal, bringing together PGT and TGT science teachers from government schools across the district.
The capacity-building programme, themed 'Nature and Pedagogy of Science', focused on enhancing teachers' understanding of scientific concepts, process skills, classroom experimentation and learner-centric teaching methodologies. It also introduced practical approaches aimed at making science education more engaging and inquiry-driven for students.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Prabhakant Jain, GM, Sustainability & CSR, DS Group, said, "At DS Group, we believe that teachers play a transformative role in shaping the future of our communities. Through this programme, we aim to equip educators with innovative teaching methodologies and practical classroom tools that make science more engaging, experiential and relevant for students. The programme forms part of DS Group's ongoing Community Development Project, which focuses on promoting sustainable rural development through initiatives in education, healthcare, livelihoods and environmental conservation. The company said the initiative aims to strengthen teacher capabilities and improve long-term learning outcomes in government schools through collaborative interventions.
