London, UK / Greater Noida, India, October 28, 2026: Coforge Limited and Chippenham Rugby Football Club (RFC) have announced a community partnership to promote participation in rugby and cricket, support local talent and create development opportunities for people across the community.
Launched at Chippenham RFC’s home ground at Allington Fields, the partnership operates under the theme “Raising Our Game. Together.” It will focus on supporting the club’s community activities, encouraging participation in sports and creating opportunities for people of different ages and abilities.
Founded in 1898, Chippenham RFC is a member-run community club with more than 1,000 members and over 100 volunteers. Its programmes cover senior men’s and women’s rugby, junior, girls’ and mini rugby, mixed-ability touch rugby and walking rugby. The club also supports cricket at its 22-acre Allington Fields site, which includes a cricket ground and pavilion, rugby pitches, training areas, an all-weather multi-sports pitch and clubhouse facilities.
The club works with local schools and community organisations to encourage participation in sports and support personal development. Its initiatives include the Chippenham Schools Tag Rugby Festival, which has previously brought together more than 200 local pupils. According to the announcement, the club has also helped develop more than 60 players who have represented their countries at full international, student or schools level.
John Speight, Executive Director & President and UK and Europe Geo Business Leader, Coforge, said, “At Coforge, we believe that lasting progress begins with investing in people and creating opportunities for them to grow. Chippenham RFC has built a strong community platform that nurtures local talent, encourages participation and helps individuals develop confidence, teamwork and life skills. Through this partnership, we look forward to supporting the club’s work across rugby and cricket and contributing to the continued development of the local community, both on and off the field.”
Kevin Thornton, Chairman, Chippenham RFC, said, “We are delighted to welcome Coforge as our Community Partner. Their commitment to developing people and creating meaningful opportunities closely reflects the values and philosophy of our club. This partnership will support our continued efforts to widen participation, nurture local talent and strengthen the positive contribution we make across the community.”
As part of the partnership, Chippenham RFC’s senior rugby team will wear Coforge-branded shirts during home and away matches from October 31, 2026. The collaboration will also provide opportunities for community participation, client and stakeholder engagement, and joint activities at the club throughout the year.
The partnership brings together Coforge and Chippenham RFC to support grassroots sports, local talent development and community engagement through rugby and cricket.
