New Delhi, Mar 28, 2025: Casio India Co Pvt Ltd (CIC) has launched a CSR initiative focused on environmental sustainability. As a part of Casio India’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility for the financial year 2024-25, the ‘Recycle Responsibly’ E-Waste Collection Drive & Awareness initiative is aimed at promoting responsible e-waste disposal while achieving a collection target of 3,000 kg of electronic waste across Delhi NCR. The campaign, launched on March 25, 2025, aims to cover key regions within the Delhi NCR corridor, featuring a fleet of Seven branded canters equipped with essential safety and operational tools.
In executing this initiative, Casio India has partnered with NGO SHEOWS that in turn has appointed Allied Waste Solutions Pvt Ltd (AWS), a sustainable waste management company. AWS is tasked with operating the collection vans, facilitating community engagement, and ensuring safe, compliant recycling through authorized recyclers. Under its 'Small Act, Big Impact' campaign, AWS has long championed individual responsibility towards waste segregation and recycling. The campaign is also supported by SHEOWS, an NGO working at the intersection of social welfare and environmental consciousness.
The campaign is set to cover over 1000 kilometres across Delhi NCR, with an estimated outreach to over 500,000 individuals, encouraging them to adopt responsible disposal practices. Real-time coverage and campaign highlights will be promoted through Casio & AWS social media platforms and external web releases, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility.
Speaking on the initiative, Akira Watanabe, Director, Casio India, said, “As a responsible corporate citizen, we believe in contributing to environmental sustainability. E-waste is a rising concern, and our campaign aims to educate, engage, and empower communities to act. Through this initiative, we’re not just collecting old electronics — we’re fostering behavioral change.”
“Recycle Responsibly” initiative reinforces Casio’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, ensuring a structured approach towards waste management while fostering long-term environmental awareness in the region.
