New Delhi, Sep 27, 2024: Bal Raksha Bharat has appointed Santanu Chakraborty as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Sudarshan Suchi, effective October 18.
Mr Chakraborty is a distinguished and visionary leader with over two and a half decades of expertise in child rights & development, and humanitarian response. His extensive service with Bal Raksha Bharat, spans 13 years at both field and national office levels, and underscores his dedication to advancing children’s rights and empowerment, addressing the needs of the most deprived. Mr Chakraborty is known for his strategic decision-making, program development, and partnership cultivation.
Announcing the appointment, Deepak Kapoor, Chairperson, Bal Raksha Bharat, said, “Santanu Chakraborty has been an integral part of Bal Raksha Bharat for 13 years, serving in various leadership roles, most recently steering Program Strategy & Impact. With a deep understanding of our values and strategic vision, Santanu is poised to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and innovation.”
