New Delhi, July 23, 2025: Apraava Energy, one of India’s leading integrated energy solutions providers, has announced that it has successfully reached its goal of positively impacting over two million lives through its community development and CSR initiatives. The target, set in 2021, was accomplished through 232 projects across more than 560 villages in 12 states.
The company’s efforts are anchored in its Integrated Village Development Model, which promotes participatory planning to address needs across agriculture, health, education, and livelihoods. Apraava has worked alongside over 30 non-profit and community-based organisations to implement these projects in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The initiatives have directly benefited more than 12,000 women through entrepreneurship and skill development programs such as Aarohan, Project Uday, and Udyogini. Youth engagement through Jai Jawan Raksha Academy and STEM education initiatives has enhanced employability and academic growth in rural communities.
In the area of climate action, Apraava has planted more than 2,50,000 trees and renovated over 400 watershed structures, enabling 100+ villages to achieve water security. It has supported more than 12,000 farmers in stubble management, mitigating 1.2 lakh tonnes of stubble burning. Renewable energy projects, including biogas plants, have also contributed to improved rural living conditions.
In its push for sustainable development, the company has implemented solar-powered streetlights, e-shalas, and off-grid systems in 46 villages while training local youth and electricians to maintain them. Healthcare interventions include mobile health vans, upgraded Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and renewable-powered amenities in remote schools.
