Mumbai, December 22, 2024: YES Foundation, the social development arm of YES BANK, celebrated its 12th anniversary, showcasing its impact on over 1 million lives across 70 districts in 18 states. Guided by its 3E strategy—Employability, Entrepreneurship, and Environmental Sustainability—the Foundation emphasized its commitment to fostering economic and social growth.
In 2021, the Foundation introduced a five-year strategy aimed at empowering India's youth with market-oriented skills and entrepreneurial opportunities. The initiative targets creating 100,000 employment and entrepreneurship opportunities by 2026. Since its launch, the Foundation has trained over 10,000 youth for market-oriented jobs, increased the income of 40,000 farmers, women, and artisans across villages in multiple states, and planted over 300,000 trees through agroforestry projects.
The anniversary celebration, held at YES BANK’s headquarters in Mumbai, recognized the contributions of implementation partners and employee volunteers. Senior leaders, trustees, and advisory council members, led by Mr. Prashant Kumar, Managing Director & CEO of YES BANK, felicitated the contributors during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar stated, “I believe that our work, both at YES BANK and through YES Foundation, is aligned with addressing inequalities and disparities. We are committed to making a meaningful difference—not as charity, but as a deliberate effort to create a society where opportunity is not a privilege, but a right.”
The event also included capacity-building programs for implementation partners, focusing on perspective building, networking opportunities, and sparking innovation through exposure to diverse ideas and thematic insights.
