Bengaluru, February 07, 2026: Aahwahan Foundation, in collaboration with Vivo (Vsmart World Communications Ltd), has inaugurated its 509th Model Science Lab at Sree Maruthi High School, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The initiative reflects Aahwahan’s belief that real change begins with quality education and meaningful efforts that uplift communities, especially children.
At Sree Maruthi High School, Aahwahan did not see a school with limitations; it saw potential. Earlier, students lacked even the basic facilities required for practical learning, with no science lab to support their curiosity. As part of the Aahwahan Foundation’s school upgradation project, first model toilets were first installed to ensure proper sanitation and safety for both students and teachers. Building on this effort, Aahwahan is now strengthening academic infrastructure and establishing a Model Science Lab, taking the next step toward quality education. This reflects its approach of restoring dignity first and then strengthening learning.
The newly established lab is a modern, colourful, and student-friendly space designed to make learning engaging and accessible. Created exclusively for high school students, it includes dedicated sections for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, enabling hands-on learning instead of rote memorisation. The lab is equipped with physics apparatus for motion, electricity, optics, and energy; chemistry kits, glassware, periodic tables, and molecular models; and biology resources such as human and animal anatomy models, skeletons, charts, and microscopes. A telescope has also been installed to encourage students to explore astronomy and think beyond the classroom.
“At Aahwahan Foundation, we believe education should spark curiosity and confidence in students. This Model Science Lab ensures that children, regardless of their background, have access to the same quality learning experiences as anywhere else in the country,” said Mr Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO, Aahwahan Foundation.
“We are delighted and grateful to have this lab in our school. It will help us become better scientists and scholars in the future. The lab looks amazing and makes our science periods enjoyable. It is truly inspiring for all of us. Studying in such an advanced lab is a dream for every student, including me. Thank you, Aahwahan Foundation and Vivo, for this support,” said Bhoomika, Student.
Through this initiative, Aahwahan Foundation reinforces its belief that true upliftment comes from quality, not charity. The Model Science Lab is expected to benefit over 10,000 students in the coming years, supporting present learning while shaping future opportunities. By nurturing curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking, Aahwahan aims to inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, and leaders who will contribute to the nation’s growth.
