Tata Capital’s Eyecare Initiative Project Aarogyatara Reaches Landmark 1 Million Screenings

New Delhi, Dec 2, 2024: Tata Capital's CSR initiative Project Aarogyatara has successfully conducted 1 million screenings in its mission to eliminate curable blindness. The initiative, aimed at providing inclusive primary eye care, organizes community-level eye screening camps across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Bihar.

By offering cataract surgeries and spectacles to underserved individuals, the project is improving eye health among low-income families while raising awareness about the importance of regular eye check-ups. These efforts are made possible through collaborations with leading eye hospitals and non-profit organizations to deliver affordable, accessible, and high-quality curative and preventive eye care services.

As of Oct 2024, under Project Aarogyatara over 1 million individuals have been screened for eye-related ailments; over 37,000 individuals are provided with spectacles; over 65,000 cataract surgeries have been conducted successfully.
