Hyundai Motor India Reports INR 1,143 Mn CSR Spend in FY 2024-25; Targets RE100 by End of 2025

August 06, 2025 | New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has released its Financial Report for the year 2024-25, outlining key achievements in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and sustainability.

According to the report, HMIL’s CSR arm, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), recorded a total CSR expenditure of ₹1,143.16 million during the year, including unspent amounts from the previous financial year. The company reported that its CSR initiatives positively impacted approximately 2.14 million individuals across 25 states and Union Territories.

In the area of environmental sustainability, HMIL shared the following milestones:

  • 80% of water requirements at its Chennai manufacturing facility were met through rainwater harvesting and internal sources.
  • 88% of its electricity needs were fulfilled through renewable energy sources, with a target to achieve 100% renewable energy (RE100) by the end of 2025.
