HP's CLAP initiative empowers 350,000 individuals in 200 Indian villages

New Delhi, October 06, 2023: HP's CLAP (Creating Learning and Advancement Possibilities) initiative continues to drive digital equity in India's rural education sector. The initiative has deployed 30 mobile learning centers, impacting 200 villages and over 350,000 individuals. HP aims to impact 150 million people worldwide by 2030, with a focus on digital education and empowerment. HP India's strategic programs target equal access to education for all, including women, girls, marginalized groups, and educators.

By empowering individuals with the ability to navigate and harness technology, we aim to break down barriers and unlock new avenues for growth and development."

HP's World on Wheels (WoW) program, featuring solar-powered mobile learning labs, has reached remote areas, benefiting around 650,000 people with digital literacy, education, entrepreneurship, and citizen services. The HP Accessible Learning for All (ALFA) program equips over 2,000 classrooms and introduces advanced laboratories in government and NGO-run schools, elevating the education quality for over 620,000 students. HP’s Common Service Labs (CSL) in remote areas provide healthcare, education, and essential services, reaching approximately 12,936 people in the last two years. 

HP's strategic programs, investments, and partnerships are aimed at closing the digital divide and ensuring equal access to education and economic opportunities worldwide. Their partnership with Girl Rising, has helped equip over 7.4 million students and teachers in India, Nigeria, and the United States with technology solutions.
