New Delhi, December 03, 2024: The Flipkart Foundation successfully hosted its second annual conference, Sampark 2024: Inclusive Pathways to Social Impact, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The event brought together leaders from non-profits, the private sector, and global organizations to discuss strategies for fostering inclusive and sustainable development aligned with India’s priorities and the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference highlighted Flipkart’s ecosystem impact, with over 23 lakh lives positively influenced through its initiatives. By enabling employment through its vast network of more than 14 lakh sellers and over 2,00,000 individuals working directly and indirectly with the organization, Flipkart has become a significant driver of social and economic progress.
During his keynote address, Atul Satija, Founder and CEO of The/Nudge Institute & Give, emphasized the importance of inclusive growth. “Creating opportunities for the bottom 5% of the population is critical to ensuring progress that goes beyond economic growth,” he noted, urging stakeholders to leverage India’s advancements in digital and financial inclusion.

A session on skilling underscored the need for region-specific and adaptable programs to empower rural youth. Experts highlighted the importance of integrating technical and soft skills to bridge gaps in localized job markets.
Technology’s transformative potential was discussed in a fireside chat titled Tech for Good: Harnessing Technology for Inclusive Development explored technology’s role in addressing social challenges. Speakers emphasized combining digital solutions with grassroots efforts to create lasting impact.
The unveiling of the Building India Together compendium highlighted the Flipkart Foundation’s work in supporting micro-entrepreneurs, promoting sustainable practices, and building community resilience during crises.
With discussions focused on fostering resilience and sustainable solutions, Sampark 2024 reinforced the importance of scalable, environmentally responsible solutions in driving inclusive growth for underserved communities.
