UltraTech Cement Completes 100MW Solar Energy Project In Rajasthan

Jaipur, Apr 5, 2024: UltraTech Cement Limited has completed a 100 MW solar energy project under its Group Captive scheme in Rajasthan.

This is UltraTech Cement’s first project for sourcing power for its captive consumption from the inter-state transmission network, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Power from this project will be available to the company’s units in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha among others, the Aditya Birla Group cement major said.

The company now has a capacity of 612 mw of renewable power and 278 mw of WHRS.

UltraTech remains focused on accelerating the transition of its operations towards green energy and this project is part of the company’s stated commitment to increase green power mix to 85% by 2030. With this achievement, the company reaffirms its dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the pursuit of a brighter, cleaner future for all, the statement said.
