Mumbai, January 17, 2024: Transworld Group and HelpAge India collaborated to organize eye screening camps aimed at diagnosing cataracts and providing surgeries for underprivileged senior citizens. The annual event occurred at two locations: Chendani Koliwada Thane West and Gholvad PHC, Bordi Road, Tal Dahanu. Transworld Group supported 50 cataract surgeries scheduled at Bhakti Vedanta Hospital.
“Providing access to basic medical facilities has been the company’s mission over the years. I am glad that we work with talented team members who understand the value of giving back. Our Transworld Group employee volunteers played a crucial role in managing the registration process and assisting beneficiaries and their families,” said Anisha Ramakrishnan, Director, Transworld Group.
A comprehensive follow-up will be conducted four weeks post-surgery to ensure the successful recovery and well-being of the patients.
