Pune, March 6, 2024: Aiming at its expansion in Pune and also delivering around 5,00,000 tiffins prepared by its women-led initiative Muk'ti Kitchen in the city by this year end, PSR Sustainability Foundation has joined hands with dabbawalas, Mumbai's lunchbox delivery system.
The collaboration between these two organisations will offer freshly cooked tiffins through dabbawala’s seamless, reliable and efficient food delivery system.
This is the first time that the Mumbai dabbawalas will be expanding their services beyond the mega city.
The tiffins will be prepared at Muk’ti Kitchen, an initiative by the PSR Sustainability Foundation and supported as part of the CSR activity of KSB Group. Muk'ti Kitchen is a unique women-led initiative which is committed to quality, hygiene, and social impact and stands as a beacon of hope for women's empowerment and community development.
PSR Sustainability Foundation aims at delivering around 5,00,000 tiffins (1000-1500/day) in Pune by the end of 2024 through this collaboration with dabbawala, the Foundation officials said
The PSR Sustainability Foundation also plans to achieve a target of providing livelihood to 100+ women through the women-led initiative - Muk’ti Kitchen. Besides, it plans to offer its services in Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai and Thane starting 2025.

Furthermore, the revenue generated will be reinvested into community development initiatives, including education and healthcare support.”

PSR Sustainability Foundation is dedicated to sustainable impact, guided by the ethos of self-sufficiency. Muk'ti Kitchen, an initiative empowering women, epitomises its mission. Born during a lockdown, it delivers homely meals in Pune, promoting livelihoods and women's voices in culinary spaces. Muk'ti Kitchen was born as a cloud kitchen in Pune. "Muk'ti", meaning "mute" in Marathi, combined with "ti," symbolising the female gender, represents the empowerment of women's voices. The organisation believes that every woman deserves to be heard, acknowledged, and valued for her exceptional culinary contributions. Muk'ti Kitchen is committed to positively impacting the lives of women while satisfying the growing demand for home-cooked meals.
