Rayagada, December 15, 2023: Ritesh Agarwal, founder of OYO, expanded his philanthropic endeavors by introducing five healthcare centers catering to the underprivileged in Odisha. The initiative, led by health-tech startup 'Last Mile Care,' aims to provide primary healthcare services to regions with limited access, addressing the healthcare gap for marginalized populations.
Operated by Last Mile Care, known for managing 13 centers across India, these healthcare facilities will be named the Ramesh and Bela Agarwal Healthcare Center, in honor of Ritesh Agarwal's parents. The first center in Rayagada has been inaugurated by Shri Jagannath Saraka, the state minister for SC & ST Development, Minorities and Backward Class Welfare, and Law.
The centers focus on primary healthcare, offering preventive care, diagnostic services, and treatment for minor illnesses. Professional consultations, referral services, affordable medications, and digital health record facilities are also provided. The initiative offers free treatment to the underprivileged for the first three months and discounted services for the initial six months.
With a strategic emphasis on utilizing health-tech and hybrid care options, these centers are designed to deliver quality and affordable healthcare to smaller towns. Each center will house specialized doctors in gynecology, eye diseases, and heart diseases, ensuring comprehensive healthcare solutions.
