New Delhi, December 06, 2023: ITC Ltd. has introduced the Sunfeast 'Bounce of Joy' program in collaboration with STAIRS FOUNDATION and Six S Sports- Centre for Sports Science. This initiative, set to train over 1 lakh students in 100 schools across Karnataka, aims to raise awareness among students about the significance of sports, nutrition, and an active lifestyle. In partnership with NGO collaborators, the program will provide football training to students, fostering their overall physical and socio-economic skill development. Additionally, it contributes to the promotion of grassroots sports.
Sri. Madhu Bangarappa (Hon. Primary and Secondary Education Minister, GoK), while lauding this initiative by ITC in promoting education through sports, particularly football expressed happiness and the Karnataka government’s desire to make government schools a viable option for all sections of society. The Hon’ble Minster was of the firm opinion that the “Bounce of Joy” initiative, launched in 100 schools of Karnataka, would go a long way in promoting education through sports, better utilization of playgrounds and also help children stay healthy & physically fit.

The program, inaugurated on December 2, 2023, at Karnataka Public School, Adugodi, intends to empower students and physical education teachers alike, broadening their outlook and perspective on life. It seeks to instill sportsmanship, boost self-esteem, and open new horizons for holistic development among children.
