New Delhi, December 11, 2023: In a strategic collaboration, Hyundai Mobis, India’s second-largest automobile manufacturer, has partnered with Bangalore-based TRUE Assistive Technology to offer tailored car seat solutions designed specifically for persons with disabilities and senior citizens. TRUE Assistive Technology is renowned for developing international standard assistive tech products, and their accessible car seat solutions, including the award-winning TurnPlus, will now be available as accessories at Hyundai showrooms.
As part of the collaboration, Hyundai Mobis will provide TRUE Assistive Technology’s accessible car seat solutions, specifically TurnPlus, to assist persons with disabilities and senior citizens facing mobility challenges. TurnPlus can now be ordered as an accessory at Hyundai showrooms.
Approximately 2.68 crore people in India have disabilities, with around 20% experiencing mobility difficulties. TRUE Assistive Technology addresses this challenge by offering quality and standardized products. TurnPlus, a patented swivel seat mechanism for cars, has impacted over 500 lives in India, providing an easy-to-install solution for improved car travel and independence for individuals with mobility challenges.

TurnPlus allows for easy installation without modifying the car's structure or core functioning. It can be installed in 80% of Indian cars in less than 5 hours, and with minimal modification, the mechanism can be removed, restoring the seat to its original condition. This collaboration aims to enhance accessibility and address the challenges faced by individuals with mobility issues in commuting.
