Mumbai, February 16, 2026: Himalaya BabyCare has introduced refreshed packaging across its entire Gentle Baby Care Range as part of its ongoing sustainability efforts. The redesigned packs are projected to help eliminate 500 tons of plastic over the next five years, translating to an estimated reduction of 100 tons annually.
The packaging update combines usability enhancements with environmental considerations. According to the company, the initiative reflects its long-term sustainability roadmap and aligns with evolving consumer preferences, particularly among parents who are increasingly conscious of the environmental footprint of everyday products.
The refreshed packs feature a cleaner and more contemporary design, improved labelling for readability, and ergonomic upgrades aimed at enhancing grip and stability. The brand states that the redesign ensures convenience and safety while working towards reducing plastic consumption.
To support the launch, Himalaya BabyCare has rolled out a digital film centred on parental concerns about the environmental future their children will inherit. Set during a parents’ meet, the film highlights discussions around plastic waste and the broader impact of individual choices. Through this narrative, the brand links responsible packaging decisions to long-term environmental wellbeing.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. N. V. Chakravarthi, Director – BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company, said, “At Himalaya BabyCare, our responsibility goes beyond creating gentle and safe products for babies today. Every decision we make is guided by our belief that while babies deserve the best of Nature’s nourishment, caring for Nature is essential to ensure a healthier world for our children tomorrow. BabyCare’s packaging transformation reflects our commitment to supporting the future of children by reducing plastic waste and staying true to our promise of gentle care that is good for our babies and good for our planet.”
The digital campaign has been released in Hindi, along with adaptations in ten regional languages including Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Gujarati, and Marathi, to expand its reach across diverse audiences.
With this packaging transformation, Himalaya BabyCare positions sustainability as an integral part of its product development approach, focusing on reducing plastic usage while maintaining quality and user convenience.
