Noida, October 6, 2023. HCLTech, a global technology leader, has unveiled its Sustainability Report FY23, in line with its commitment to 'Supercharging Progress' sustainably and responsibly.

In FY23, HCLTech demonstrated robust Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) performance, guided by its principles of Act. Pact. Impact. The report showcases the lasting impact achieved by HCLTech through its actions and partnerships with stakeholders, while also highlighting progress towards its ESG objectives:
Environmental:
- HCLTech has committed to reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. As of FY23, it has already reduced scope 1 and 2 emissions by 22%, surpassing the three-year target of 15%. Additionally, it achieved a 20% reduction in scope 3 emissions during FY23, exceeding the 12.6% target over the same three-year period.
- The company replenished 26 times more water than it consumed in India in FY23. It also became the first India-based firm to join the Water Resilience Coalition and endorse the CEO Water Mandate.
- Over 98% of HCLTech's owned buildings are 'Platinum' rated by Green Building Councils, with more than 13 million sq ft of the company's global building space certified as green buildings by organizations such as the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
Social:
- In November 2022, HCLTech launched its Sustainability School to educate its 223,000+ employees about climate change and sustainability, with employees dedicating over 10,500 hours to training as of March 31, 2023.
- Through HCLFoundation, the company positively impacted over 5.5 million lives in India and assisted more than 12,000 individuals with disabilities.
- HCLTech achieved a gender diversity rate of 29.2% during FY23 and has been part of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for three consecutive years.
Governance:
- HCLTech received an ESG 'Leader' rating with an AA rating in the software and services industry from MSCI, recognizing its ESG performance.
- The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 identified HCLTech as an 'Industry Mover.'
- Sustainalytics included HCLTech in its 2023 Top-Rated ESG Companies list in the software and services industry and the Asia Pacific region, categorizing the company as 'low risk.'
- For three consecutive years, HCLTech maintained certification from the British Standards Institution for ISO 37001:2016, Anti-Bribery Management Systems.
