HCCB partners with Kaushalya University to train 5000 youth in sales & marketing in Gujarat

Gandhinagar, November 22, 2023: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kaushalya University to implement a sales and marketing training program, aiming to skill 5,000 individuals in Gujarat. The training will be conducted across various villages in the Ahmedabad and Kheda Districts, alongside other community development initiatives in 11 villages.

The program is designed for a diverse range of participants, including recent graduates, current students, and college dropouts aged 18 and above. Spanning three months, the curriculum involves a comprehensive 30-hour program with 6 hours of face-to-face interactions and 24 hours of online sessions.

HCCB will oversee orientation and awareness sessions, electronic provision of program materials, and conduct both face-to-face and online training. The company will also facilitate interactions with industry experts, provide online platforms, conduct assessments, and connect learners with local industries and entrepreneurial opportunities at zero cost.

Simultaneously, Kaushalya university will introduce learners to HCCB and its programs, assist with orientation sessions, and ensure infrastructure availability like computer labs and classrooms. The university will also monitor program attendance and assist with assessments.

Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, Cabinet Minister of Industries, Rural Development, Labour and Employment in the Government of Gujarat, said "We aim to create a cohesive partnership between Government bodies, the Industrial sector, and Educational institutions. This collaboration promises a consistent flow of well-trained graduates ready for diverse corporate roles."

Dr. Anju Sharma, IAS and Director General of Kaushalya University said, "Together, we aim to not just educate but to transform lives and communities. This partnership is more than just training; it's about creating a skilled workforce that can drive sustainable growth and development in our state and beyond."

Mr. Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Officer at HCCB, remarked, “We understand the crucial role industries play in shaping the socio-economic fabric of the society. Through our extensive upskilling programs, our primary objective is to bridge the gender disparity in financial and digital literacy. Additionally, our community development projects highlight our unwavering resolve to foster holistic development."

As part of its community development initiatives, HCCB will implement social projects in the 11 villages, focusing on clean drinking water, sustainable agriculture, Nagrik Seva Kendras (NSK), healthcare, and education infrastructure.
