Grant Alert: Up to INR 1.5 lakh financial support to Individuals/NGOs by Colgate-Palmolive India

New Delhi, March 9, 2023: Colgate-Palmolive (India) has announced grant opportunity for individuals and NGOs who are working in the areas of teaching, training, skilling or sports training for underprivileged students.

The grant application is currently open and the deadline to apply for the opportunity is March 31, 2023.

According to the Colgate-Palmolive (India) officials, the grant will be offered as part of ‘Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship & Mentorship Programme’ for which applications are currently being accepted on Buddy4Study.

The grant is open for individuals or NGOs who are impacting the lives of 20-25 people with their activities such as teaching, training, skilling a group of underprivileged children or providing sports training to them, according to the programme details available on Buddy4Study, a platform which lists scholarship and grant opportunities.

However, the NGOs which receive corporate funds or donation of more than INR 1 lakh in a year are not eligible to apply for this grant.

Grant opportunity details:

The eligibility criteria for applying to this grant opportunity are mentioned below:

  • The applicants must be involved in activities, which is impacting more than 20-25 people (multiplier effect) and are done at individual level via teaching, training, skilling a group of underprivileged children or providing sports training to them
  • Applicants must belong to the economically weaker or moderate-income groups of society
  • Applicant must hold minimum a graduation degree as educational qualification

Benefits:

  • Provides financial support of INR 75,000 per year for 2 years
  • Mentorship support from the Colgate KIS Program

Documents required:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Valid ID proof: Aadhaar Card/Driving License/Voter Id Card/Pan Card
  • Income Proof: Income certificate/BPL certificate/Food security certificate/Any other certificate of income issued by competent government authority.
  • Disability certificate, in case of any physical disability
  • Name & Registration no. of NGO/Rotary/Association/ Not for profit

The applicants will also be asked to provide the reference to the community references during the various stages of selection process.

As per the programme details, the opportunity is available for individuals who are deserving, but lack the resources to pursue their dreams. Along with the financial support, the programme will also focus on mentorship to the beneficiaries.
